Film critics should stick to critiquing an actor’s performance: some of them are far too obsessed with the superficial – with people’s appearance – and there’s nothing worse than a critic being bitchy. Some can be really unkind, and it’s just not fun to read, especially if it’s you they’re writing about. Even if you have 10 really good reviews, it’s the one bad one that sticks in your mind.

About two years ago I got a LJ message from a young woman where she asked me for advices about how to draw.
Although lots of times people write comments asking me how I have done a certain scene, which technique it was used, this unexpected approach had taken me by surprise.

I’m not sure about all the things I wrote on my reply but certainly, one of them, was the answer I give to everybody that ask me tips about to draw: be a good observer, to draw a lot and just be yourself.
I use to say that, as time passes by, people give up of one of the first pleasures we have in life that is to communicate through the drawings.

My vision is that nobody should do this.

Yes, we have differences in how to express by them, some people could do more easily or even in a special way, but they are like our “fingerprints”, a unique way to each one to show our visions of the world.

Although some try to reach the “perfection” of a Raphael or a Picasso (and lots do), much important is not to lose the happiness of drawing, to paint like a child.

This happiness can be easily go when we face every “artist” hardest critic: ourselves. I think this is the point where lots of artists stop to draw.

Those who didn’t give up, maybe keep doing this because make art is like a psychological and urgent need that makes an artist feel complete.

But we still find, from time to times, people that can’t see the biggest pleasure on this work and worse, only have the feeling of not help you to improve but to hurt by their words, as like they know that an artist’s work is like an extension of our hearts, minds and souls.

Even we know their intention, like Rupert said, those words are the ones that “stick” in your mind.
Like I said in this same journal, a few times ago, no one in the entire world has the ability of to pleasure everybody, being an unanimity, not even God, but it’s not easy when you find a “bitchy critic” in your way.

Doing what we should do in every bad event of our lives, we need to learn from it, remembering us the real reason of still doing art.

I started this work I’m showing you today more than one year ago, and like it happens with lots of sketches that are “in my drawer” (or ideas in my mind), they keep “asking” me to finish them, to accept the “critic” inside of me and just do the thing for having fun.
So I did this with this one, that I think highlights, in the best way, a characteristic of my work that some of my viewers, I noticed by the comments, haven’t noticed until now: I try to make them look like, by the light, the pose of the characters, as if they were an instantaneous photo from those old “Polaroid” cameras.

It’s a sequence scene of my last fanart posted here, A Second Chance, from the same chapter of Kele’s More than Memories and I would like to dedicate it to that young woman that became my friend two years ago, also my great inspiration in never lose that “childish” joy in to draw, the awesome, sweet, and most productive no pathetic and talented HP fanartist we have in this fandom, Dove aka redheadsarehot.

Remember, my dear: by the end, the fun and the pleasure are what you’ll take from your work, and it’ll keep here around the universe forever, eternal, much longer after everything and everyone you know now were gone! ;)

I remember I've read sometime ago, here in my friends list page, someone who was saying she knew that artists use almost all the time references and to know them, could finish the magic of an art work.
My opinion is that the problem is not the public to know from where your ideas come from but how to transform these references in something that express so deeply your thoughts, your own style, recreating what was already created and changing it in something new to everybody's eyes.
You won't end the magic if this happens. It will be transformed.

Like I told you sometime ago, I've been working in old fanarts I've started for some scenes of an specific chapter of redblaze(or Bluerain)'s More than Memories(for a while now :D ), and it's being hard to finished them because, apart from real life's problems, new ideas are always coming to my mind and I'm always putting the old projects aside. But this time, the idea for a new fanart that came to me was for this same chapter and I had it while I was reading a "Rolling Stones" magazine few months ago and I've watched a jeans advertising.

And today I'm showing to you how Calvin Klein helped me to make this Ron and Hermione's moment comes alive.

I want to thank everybody that answered my last post and excuse me for didn't give you a reply, but you made my heart happy with your words.

There's a reason for my lack of answers.

Remember when I said I had a "blank" when I got my assignament for hp_canon_fest?

Well, my Muse appeared, gave me an idea, helped me to find out a perfect reference and I already started to paint the art! :)

Maybe all he was needing was to get fun in some music festival wearing strange hats with his mate! :D



And about True Blood, after six episodes I still don't like vampires...

...that great part of my f-list was offline last Monday, for my own mind sanity! :D

As some of you should know, it was the day that Rupert was celebrating his 21th Birthday and I posted here in my journal four different entries with four different illustrations I made as gifts for him.
They are part of a project IceCreamMan site created where fans all over the world sent photos of Blag magazine, which has Rupert on the cover, on important locations of the city they live. There are photos of many places of USA, and also Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Denmark, China, Brazil(of course) and so on.

These photos together and my illustrations formed a book that is already with him.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to watch these works of mine, I want to share the links again with you.
I spent almost two months working on them and although they look a little bit different of my usual work, to have done them gave me an immense pleasure.

• I had a hemorrhage in my right eye last week, but I’m recovering well, don’t need to more worries, for those friends who emailed me.
• Like a miracle, my LJ is working good again, but not all my computer, unhappily.
• I finished another R&Hr fanart which probably I will post in the second week of September, because we have holidays here next one.
• I’m still reading Outlander in a hyper slow pace, but devouring some R&Hr fanfics avidly.
• I’m always too late with TV things, but I’m now addicted to The Big Bang Theory. I love Jim Parsons and I hope he wins the Emmy. Also, although I said too many times that I don’t like vampires, this weekend I’m ready for True Blood since I got the first season here.
• And finally, I got my assignment for the hp_canon_fest.The thing is, well, the challenge for me has a too much obvious theme and that is what makes it too much difficult. When I read the request my mind got blank! And I’m praying to my Muse don’t be so lazy, because I just need “1% of inspiration” to have the right time for the “99% of perspiration”.

The idea for this one came when I saw some of the photos taken in the rain at HBP's London premiere that, for me, are like poetry in form of photographys.
So this one is not based in one of the photo shoot made for Blag magazine but I think is the best translation of this illustration project: to dream.
Even if you do this with eyes open, a daily reality of any creative mind.

A project I did for Rupert’s Birthday, with no sites asking me for, a thing I wanted to do for him and by myself so grateful I’m still by his gesture of to sign one of my drawings and saying he already had saw it.
I need to do this.

Gladly IceCreamman gave me the pleasure to host them in their gift that was sent to him, with a message also wrote by me.

As you’re getting older you also learn that sometimes life looks like a great mosaic made from little moments, people and things you love, all of them put together and forming who you are.
Although we’re apart by many things, different countries, cultures, languages, life stories, age and so on, I like to think that you and I have some parts of “our mosaics” formed by the same pieces: our love for this character, Ron Weasley, for art, music, movies and these girls from this site, Ice Cream Man, that support your career, working everyday to bring it to many fans and are great real friends of mine.
My first idea for my gift of this year, was to draw all the photos that were taken for Blag magazine, but unhappily life also makes you leave by its way lots of things you planed.
I think they are the blank spaces of the “mosaic”, where we couldn’t find the right piece to fill it, or even pieces lost with the passing of time.
These drawings I finished, look a little different of what I use to do. I made them while I was rediscovering a great artist that I admire, Dave McKean, a comic illustrator that has been working for a long time with the wonderful writer, Neil Gaiman.
I made them by his influence but, of course, in my way and capacity.
All of them are handmade, using different techniques: pastel, gouache, dry watercolor pencils.
Funny that while I was working, I discovered that this artist collaborated for the conceptual art of “Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban” and “Goblet of fire”.
Another common piece.
The lyrics I used came to me always with some relation with you.
Just one of them, “Good Riddance” by Green Day appeared at my iPod, while I was working and typed the world Life.
I made a “little change” and I think it turned perfect for a guy that is completing 21 years old.
Perfect to add to these drawings that I hope you could have with you, forever, as part of your “mosaic”.

Another turning point;

Again, in this drawing, I used graphics elements found out at Sandman's comic series.
I tried to created this time an illusion of the words being projected over the body, looking like many tattoos.
The lyrics of the song Little Wing came to me when I saw Rupert using a Jimi Hendrix T-shirt at HBP's NY premiere, this year.
Suddenly I realized that the words of this songs could perfectly translate what a Muse represents to an artist.
And it’s not different for me, is more or less like this, while I’m creating, off to Lillyland…

When I saw the picture I used as reference for this art for the first time I thought I had found out the perfect one for what I wanted: to show some graphic elements present in David McKean’s work.
The high contrast between dark, shadow and light.

I also add texts as part of the composition, bringing the poetry of some music lyrics, songs that are so important during my creative process.

This one is played at the opening of Cherrybomb and in its words almost prepares you for what will come.
I used it because also reminds me of questions I do to myself every time I watch him playing and the attention he gets, specially from the media because of this.

( PREPAREDNESS )

There's a thread at IceCreamMan's forums where members write about dreams they had with Rupert.
It's one of the threads that I enjoy most to read because it's something that intrigues me most. Great part of the people there never met him and it's somehow funny, like in any dream, he can materialized and sometimes acts like someone that is part of their real daily lives.
I wonder how Rupert himself would feel by reading those dreams.
Well, I'm not the one who would say that maybe he would feel weird, because I think I can give the same sensation, lots of time, not only to him but to many viewers of my drawings.

I'm saying this because, the idea for these new works of mine came to me, in a certain way, from these readings.
Like always, my inspiration has many "links" and I instantly remembered one of my favorites illustrators, Dave McKean, that worked with the writer Neil Gaiman in the comic series "Sandman"
Sandman is a mythical character of the folklore who brings good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto the eyes of children while they sleep at night.
In Gaiman's books he's Dream, one of The Endless, the king of dreams and a personification of dreams and storytelling.
Basically this was the start of these drawings.

I've being working on them since the beginning of June.
My first intention was to draw all the photos Rupert took for Blag magazine, but unhappily, in spite of already have some sketches ready to color, I couldn't finished all of them.
So, these four that I ended were sent to Rupert, by RG.us, as a birthday gift.
I'll be showing them today to you in four posts.
I hope you all (including Rupert) like them.

( WE’RE OFF TO RUPERTLAND… )

I'm having huge problems to open my LJ since yesterday.
I only could open the home and post page, not the journal, my friends page and worse, LJ contact's page!
Of course if everybody is having the same problem, I won't get any answer for this post, but if it's something that is happen only to me, could anybody contact them telling what is happening or please give me their email.
I'm really desesperated because I have some drawings to post and I don't know what is happening.
I delected all my old cookies, scaned all the computador with Norton and no virus found, spending lots of time doing this!
What a great way to pass my Sunday! :(

It's the first time I'll participate of a exchange fest challenge!
How couldn't I after seeing this wonderful banner my friend redheadsarehot did for it?
And even more because it's all about HP canon world!
I'd love to see some talented people of my f-list involved on it too.



I'm working like mad in some drawings here, this is why I didn't update not even telling my thoughts about HBP and I'm also very busy with kids here.
Their return to classes was postponed till August 17th because of the advance of the "swine flu" here in my country. It's winter and we had 35 death cases, most of them in cities near where I live. I'm very worried.
The best of all in this situation is the free schedule, with more time to sleep and do the things, that is why I'm enjoying to draw a lot and watch the many DVDs I have here till late at night. :)

Great part of my f-list already saw HBP movie by now, so it’s time to show to you a drawing I made specially for today, and I’m certain you will have fun to imagine Rupert in a way that, after watching him doing brilliantly Ron’s part, we all are sure now, we'll never see him in real life, maybe in a film…

When Karo asked me at the end of May if I could make a drawing as a surprise gift for the girls, boys, staff members and all the fans of the site to celebrate Ice Cream Man's 5th birthday, I didn't think twice.
Ice Cream Man site is part of my daily life, where lots of my online friends are. We don’t only share the same love for Rupert but also for many other things. It always seems that the talk starts on him and ends with all of us speaking about music, books, movies, food, everything.
It is a place where Rupert’s fans also know that behind my art there’s a person, because I was always respected there not only as an artist that can eventually contribute to the site, but also as human being.
So, my first idea for the drawing came quickly for sure: to draw Rupert as an old fashioned ice-cream man, which was approved by Karo immediately.
The idea developed to the one that I’m giving to you today, a drawing based on the magnificent work of one of the most wonderful illustrators of all times, Norman Rockwell, and his work for the covers of the Saturday Evening Post.
Although it might look simple, it was hard to do it. Everything handmade including the fonts, like it was by the time of the magazine and also doing a foreshortening drawing, is never the most easy thing to do, but I really hope you enjoy it.
It was made with all my heart as I know their work is done there every day in the site!

I have to say, I'm happy that this day is coming but I watched so may clips in the internet that I think I already saw all the movie. Anyway it's a different feeling to be there, in "the dark room". :)

Thank you so much for those who voted in the pool I posted last Sunday, "Who do you believe?" and yes the winner was Danil Radcliffe!
I watched and read so many interviews of Rupert and Emma in the last days talking about this kiss that I recomend you only to read those given by Daniel and David Yates, this if you don't mind to find out Rupert and Emma thousand different ways to say it was awkawrd and ruin all the vibe of R&Hr kiss! :D

Everything started two Fridays ago with Emma saying it was "horrible" in a TV show, what it really made me mad, not a way to talk about someone you know around ten years, even more being a man!
But... in the London Premiere Rupert came with the "Jessie is a better kisser, because I feel Emma is like my sister blah, blah,blah". So the game is 1x1!

In the latest ones I read the things started to be really funny, so two years from now, we still will see them trying to find a way to say to us "they didn't enjoy it", and eventually failing sometimes... :D

Rupert in this video, when the interviewer asked him if he deliberately got the giggles to increase the number of takes, Rupert says, "That would be a good plan", also that, in the middle of the kisses, he kind got out of character and felt self concious, and that all his previous kisses on screen didn't actually prepare him for the one with Emma!

And both of them in this interview:

"I was like, 'Do I use tongue?' " she laughed during a recent interview with MTV News. " 'Do I not use tongue? Do I cover my teeth? What do I do? Do I go first? Oh my God!' "

With all these questions swirling in her head, she ended up nearly attacking Grint, who plays Ron Weasley. "I ended up pouncing on Rupert," Watson confessed. "I was so desperate to get it over. After the first take he was like, 'Whoa, there! Where did that come from?' I was like, 'Sorry!' "

"It took me by surprise," Grint admitted

Don't this sound a bit like the real Ron and Hermione's kiss?

So, I still prefer Daive Yates quote that "was a hell of snog"! :D

But from all the things that I saw in the last week, nothing made me so happy than to know that

I’m not sure if this is totally true.
Not for all the cases.
I heard The Beatles for the first time when I was twelve years old and became instantly a beatlemaniac.
After them, a hundred new ones, new passions came and I still love them.
I got married with my first great love and we had three kids.
I only felt that, through the years, my heart was getting bigger and bigger with plenty space for everybody.
It happens here, in LJ, all the time!
Friends that are here with me since the beginning and I know will also be after the new ones that are always coming.
Old friends like Monica, aka spidergirl30 who is celebrating her birthday on July 6th and to whom this picture is dedicated.
We discovered together this new love for Jamie and Claire from Diana Gabaldon’s series "Outlander", but we both know we’ll never give up from our old and great love, Ron and Hermione.

To make a fanart for “Outlander” was a different experience. I came to Ron and Hermione after the movies, so it was easy to picture them, as you know I do, when I’m reading their stories or making fanarts.
Now, with Jamie and Claire, their images are not so clear and definitive to me, it’s like I’m looking for references every time I’m reading them and for me, being a portraitist, this could be a good or a bad thing.
I’m trying my best to have this in my favor, so, I have for this one “very famous” references, and I decided not to confirm them (but would be funny if you give your opinion), because, although this is the most closer I have in mind when I’m reading the books, you know, they can change a little in the future.
Yes, I’m planning to do few more for these books that is my great new love.
To make fanarts for this story is even harder than to do for the Harry Potter series because of the millions of details, that you face while reading them, that aren’t only fruits of a great author’s imagination, but also historical facts.
I still have so much to study and research but this is the great challenge in to work for them.
And if you never read them, please don’t wait more!

According to Snitchseeker Emma Watson was interview last night by "The London Paper" at the Rodarte private dinner. The actress confirmed that the kiss between Ron and Hermione, in Deathly Hallows, was to be shot today.

Some of you will remember that in the beginning of the year, I told you that sometimes I like to do posts only for myself, but didn’t know if they were working right, only being showed to me.
Than a friend gave me a paid account as a gift.

They have all the rights to express their oppinions to their friends, in their very closed journals, haven't they?

So, last week I posted a drawing, and for those who didn’t see it here is the link in the picture:



After this last fanart, showing Ron's derrière, some people of my f-list, I think Rupert’s fans, deleted me from their list, without a talk, without give me a reason, maybe because they imagined Rupert's dimples not Ron's and got offended
I wouldn't blame them! It's a drawing that gives plenty space for imagination but If I had a chance, I would ask them:

Those of you, who have been part of my f-list for some time have already read me talking many times about coincidence, synchronicity or any other name we could call strange things that happen in our lives.
And you know how many times I'm used to live those moments.
So, this fanart doesn't have a different story, and I'll tell it to you now.

I'm kind of obsessed with the image of Ron and Hermione in his Hogwarts bed since I read the fanfic that made me well, obsessed with them, Emmilyne’s Of Hearts and Heroes.

I already did one almost two years ago based in a Beatles song, called Golden Slumbers but I’ve decided to make one of them on it again, when I saw a photo of Ron/Rupert from HBP movie lying in Ron's bed smiling and there was an amazing red fabric behind it.
So my first idea was to use in this art a technique already used by many artists much before PhotoShop was invented. One that I learn to love on my studies about art history, when I found out about the work of the great pop artist Richard Hamilton and later, in the works of some comics illustrators like Bill Sienkiewicz.

I found out a very blurred reference for the pose of the characters (that ended doesn't helping me much) and started to make some sketches.
When I finally thought one of them was fine to start to color, I was giving it the first brushes when a video were Rupert Grint was interviewed in a golf camp surfaced on internet.
On it the reporter asked what was the most important rock group in the history for him.
Although I disagree with Mr. Grint, I felt surprised when he answered Oasis and I looked down to the paper and the perfect name for my art appeared so clear in my mind:
Wonderwall!
Well, you will find out why when you watch it! :D

The theme for it, they both together in the "four-poster bed" was something I wanted to draw since I started on fandom and my opinion is that this could hardly happen in the canon world. But in fandom we have many examples like the one I mention above.
And again for my surprise, during the days I was working on the fanart I discovered an incredible fanfic, The First Two Times by potterhead37, placed hours right after the last battle in "Deathly Hallows", where they both share Ron's bed in Hogwarts and have their first moment of intimacy.
It was the story I had in mind when I was creating the art.
I love the thought of them being the comfort for each other in those moments, but also surrendering to the feelings they just found out were mutual.
And wanting to be only one forever!

So, I had everything when I finished the art last January: the theme, the name, the song, the perfect story for it, I even asked for potterhead37 permission to post part of her story, but I don't know, I just didn't had the feeling to post it.
Maybe because my adult art always has a light and subtle sensuality, and I felt that maybe this one had a "little more" than the usual. I though that I went literally a little bit lower on it! :D
And these thoughts are chasing me till the last week, when I open the file with its image while I heard Oasis at a live show on TV here in the city I live, São Paulo.
Playing, of course, Wonderwall! :D

For the record: at the day of the final battle in Hogwarts, May 2nd 1998, Hermione was 18 years, 7 months and 13 days old as Ron was 18 years, 2 months and 1 day old.
This drawing was made in a 180gr A4 size Canson paper using, gouache, watercolor pencils, pastels and collage.
I also posted some parts of the NC-17 fanfiction, The First two times by potterhead37.

As you all know, Rupert Grint filmed an indie thriller/drama Cherrybomb last year; but the film hasn't been released yet. IceCreamMan site have received word from the Cherrybomb production team, The Little Film Company that there's been a problem with securing a distribution deal, because the old dudes who run distribution companies think that there isn't enough interest in Cherrybomb. So, The Little Company asked for our help!
We need to prove these old dudes they are wrong!
Thus a campaign has been launched in order to ensure the widest possible cinematic release for Cherrybomb. Here's how you can get involved: IceCreamMan(and they are not asking for any credict) has composed a petition and they need your signature to show that, if given the opportunity, you would actually go and see this film!

There are six separate petitions targeting the US, the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Brazil. If your country is currently not on the list, please sign the petition for the country nearest to you (for example, if you're from Argentina, sign the Brazilian petition); have no worries, they will be adding more petitions in different languages soon, but it is important that we collect as many signatures as possible before the Cannes Film Festival screening of Cherrybomb (14 May).

Please sign this petition to bring Cherrybomb to a theatre near you, and invite your friends, fellow Rupert fans to sign it too! Yes, maybe this is the hardest price of fame, of giving something only you can create to the others. To police yourself in every step you take, asking all the time Am I doing right? Am I doing wrong?, while at same time, you can't forget to live your own life in the way you think it should have lived and to believe in your principles.
In the latest days some photos of Rupert and Emma with their dates or friends (nobody knows the true and it really doesn't matter), had surfaced in internet.
After I saw them, I thought that maybe this is the perfect opportunity for people see in my art what I really see on them, before, while and after I’m working.
My love to Ron and Hermione.
That is all what they are about.
Art about this love, and how I see it in my mind.
And if, like I said many times before, they look like the actors, this is more than anything, a tribute and respect to their work.
Maybe for these two young actors, I’m taking my part in their mind sanity, but I have to declare, believe me, I’m giving lot of mine too!

You have noticed that my life isn't giving me many chances to draw, my enthusiasm declined a lot, or I'm just tired, too.
Maybe because I've been a little lazy to start, to draw something new, I’m working lately in some old works I did last year for More than Memories and Never enough and I have never finished. Making those sketches has taken me a lot of time too and I couldn’t left them undone.
So probably it'll be a little repetitive for you, but I need this feeling that I’m finishing something that was left aside that I shouldn’t have.
Like I had to finish them before to start something new.
And there are so many new things I want to do now, like for example, to dedicate some of my work to this new couple I found out in Outlander series, Jamie and Claire.
Like to work in some originals for the original work, of this friend of mine, Kele , aka redblaze or Bluerain who wrote this incredible unfinished fanfic.
A story, which I truly hope, she could find someday, with herself, time, peace of mind, joy to finally end it.
I have already read some roughs of the next chapters, and believe me, they are amazing!

I chose to illustrate a part of it that in my opinion is one of the greatest moments in all Ron and Hermione fanfics history, where you can feel while reading it, the tension growing up between the characters till it culminates in this scene.
I hope you enjoy the drawing, the passage I chose of the story (and I didn’t cut it for your all pleasure) and the most perfect (old) song I could find for More than Memories. And to all this post, trust me!

I finished Outlander this weekend, and I'm still impressed and confused with some feelings this first book brough to me. But defenitely,each one of them worth it!
I already started "Dragonfly in Amber". I'm in the beginning but enjoying so much(???) the angst and questions it's giving me! :)

I think some of you, of my friends list, could be thinking that I'm too much lazy lately so, it's already April and it’s time to post some fanart, isn't?
Especially today!
Since I've started my LiveJournal, my Birthday is always a day to share a new work with my friends.

Some of you could like to know from where my ideas come, what you know, was my first wish when I chose to post my fanarts at the web: to share with everybody, the shinning moment of the creation! :D
Great part of the images I've been creating come to me after reading some passages of, most of the times, fanfics.
Sometimes the idea comes from different images, photos, pictures, art, that I transform in Ron and Hermione's moments.
This one came to me after I listened to a song, one I have already knew the lyrics and the story behind it since I was too much young.

It was back in January, when I was spending my vacations on the beaches.
I watched, in the beginning of one afternoon, a House MD episode where this song appeared.
Later, at the same day, I was walking on the beach and remembered to search for it in my iPod that was with me.
And I will never forget the image of the drawing coming to me while I listen to it and watch the sea!
Ron passing his hand in Hermione's hair, while she was sleeping!
The place where they were, for most obvious that could had been, when I had my first thoughts about it, just came to me days after: Shell Cottage!

For me, R&Hr time in Shell Cottage was crucial for them understand the feelings of one for another.
At Malfoy manor, Ron faced the terror of almost lose Hermione, and she had the certain of how much she was important to him.
Like someone said at Checkmated, on those moments Ron turned his feelings from what does Hermione think of me to no matter what she thinks, I love her and the world cannot be right for me without her in it, a similar emotional awakening that for sure Hermione felt when Ron was poisoned about a year before.

He realized what to love her really was. The pain of she doesn't want to be with him couldn't be worse than the pain of not to be around her anymore.
He wanted first of all to see her safe and happy.
And of course he wouldn't be insecure anymore to show her his true feelings by his acts, without fear of her answer, because they faced the reality, through Bellatrix madness, of how fragile could be their future.
He wanted to be loved by her, but most of all, he wanted her near to be loved by him!
So, he would fight to have her alive by his side at the end of the war.

Again, my love for them turned this song in a perfect one for this moment.

While I was working in this drawing I read many, many wonderful fanfics about missing moments of this DH's passage, but I decided to invited a friend to post a new one with the fanart, and I'm glad that my dear Tammy, aka missgranger2 accepted my invite!

I hope you like to read her fanfic as much as I did, and after, to watch my drawing!

One year and half ago, as I was talking with my friend lelymarques(who also lives in Brazil but she lives very far away from me) about how a wonderful connection Internet bring to the world, to the people, she said Wouldn’t be wonderful to know someday for example, that Rupert watches your work?
We kept talking and, at the end, the question keeps coming, that although we could be in contact with everybody, how much we can “touch” someone as we still be so distant?

We decided to create this community rupwatcheslilly and I remember by the time, I think I lost the credit with many people that watched my drawings.

All right, the woman just got insane! :D

Most of the people, didn’t get what was behind this "project".

In that same time (May 2007) I sent Rupert a letter that I wrote with the help of Monica, spidergirl30, which basically, among other things, explained to him what was my objective:

Someday, at some premiere, somebody will reach you and ask you “Do you watch Lilly?” :D

Well, thinking better now, if he had read the letter, three things should have happened: or I scared the death of him, or he also thought “Oh, this woman just got insane!” or maybe “Oh, lets see when this day will come!”

Hey, I´m still alive!
Back from the rainning days on the beach with no internet.
I'm so white as the divine marble greek statue chest of Rupert.
Well, at least I got a new(and so beauty) reference.
Last year I came back whiter as Dan's bum!
Kids are in the school.
I'm really busy lately.
Have a drawing to post, working in another one but I will wait to Rupert's "Cherrybomb Hurricane" slow down, because I want to be in the middle of it!

Well...I felt in love for Hugh Laurie and his Dr.House.
I saw the first three seasons while on the beach and I´m thinking seriously in to enter in this fandom!
Me and House have somethings in common!
I also got pain in my right leg sometimes, because of hernia problems in the column.
Can't sit, stand or lay down more than five minutes in the crisis time!
I still don't walk around with a cane, but sometimes I wish to have one just to beat in some people heads! :D

Meanwhile, HP's fandom still makes me confused because, while I got some nominations for rhr_awards (and thank you sooooo much my friends and viewers for this wonderful surprise I got! It means a lot to me, believe me!), I still got pearls of sensibity like this one:

The books are already illustrated, and anyway, these are pictures of
underage actors with engorged muscles having sex. There's nothing deep
about it.

Hahaha, don´t worry, I´m now used to find some people like this one, reason's owners!
This kind of things just makes me laugh so much and, as my imagination doesn't stop a single minute, I just keep picturing this anonymous brave, sensible, art connoisseur and very up-to-date viewer's face entering and looking around at Sistine Chapel! :D

I want to ask to all my f-list, a big excuse for didn't answer many of the comments in my last entry.

You won't believe , but it happened…again.
My aunt, the sister of my father, passed away last Monday.
It was a terrible coincidence, since last 24th marked one year that I lost my mother.

So my week started this way!
Sad and with no sleep!

Lots of things to be done, but Christmas went well, we have the kids to give us happiness.
My husband and I had eighteen people here, at home, for the lunch last Thursday and we eat literally all day long…well maybe now you can understand when I say that I live in my own Burrow!!

It always a relief to suffered hearts, to look the children playing together.
And while we’re eating, they were playing!

I want to thank risiepookie, spidergirl30 and autumngirl87 for the wonderful Christmas cards and gifts! I loved them!

Also thank you missgranger2 for your PM. I hope I answered you with this post. And well, you know what you can do to make me happy!

Well, understand my point of view. This could be really frustating after 70 hours of work doing it!
But I also can understand why some of you even being around didn´t do it!
I can't please everybody, everytime! :)
And also people change...

By this same time, last year, I was in hell.
My locked friends that were already with me, know what I´m talking about.
My mother passed away on last Christmas’ eve, after a year of suffering because of complications resulting from diabetes.
And the months that followed that day weren’t different.
I submerged into my drawings, trying to relieve the pain, and by my production you can tell what a very hard time I was passing by.
What I got in return of doing and sharing them made this phase a little less painful, helped by the love of my dear husband and kids.
But there is also a person who was crucial on all of this.
A friend that I never met, never hold, never looked in the eyes, but that it’s present in my life everyday.
We exchange emails every single day, sometimes more than one, two, three times.
She’s been here for me all this time, with her support, friendship, love for the same things.
She requested two drawings a long time ago, and waited patiently, even when I passed others projects in front of them.
All her sweetness you can also read in the stories she writes about our favorite couple.
The images she brings of them to us are always full of love and sense of friendship and family. Just like she is!
Monica, thanks for everything, and I hope you like this one!
I told you that I’d do Ron holding Rose just for you and you know how my life hasn’t been easy lately so I didn’t have the perfect time to dedicate to this drawing, with so many (long) breaks while working on it, but it was made with all my heart and love for you!
I know I still owe you them on the bathtub but I hope that you can see on this one the same love you put in your wonderful fic Believing.

How do you know if you are a die hard R&Hr shipper?
I think you know when you start to see them everywhere!
In photos, pictures, songs, poems…

It happens with me all the time!
Does it happen to you too?
Have you ever had this intoxicating experience?

I'd already showed to you some of my reveries, when I made R&Hr versions of Klimt's and also Rodin's The Kiss.

This time, this association came when I was, as I do many times, lost in Deviant Art Gallery.
I found there some references of a Polish artist, Zdzislaw Beksinski, then I started to research through internet, and found myself totally involved with his art.

The image that called my attention and suddenly transformed in my mind in a new Ron and Hermione´s one, shows a couple embracing.
But this couple has only few characteristics of an alive human one.
They are consumed and lost in their feelings of love, despair, need of each other and their image bring you feelings that remain in a thin line between the macabre and the divine!
It was easy to transform this picture as soon as I saw it in another R&Hr moment on my mind, but I tried to change the emotions on it to complicity, tenderness, although it's also could read as the despair, the urgency of lovers that need each other!

No, it isn't an easy and helpful image to use as reference and I tried to keep some links of it to my drawing.
I kept it showing some signs of the original one like colors, textures and proportions, but the differences are putting out not only in the forms of the human beings on it but also in the technique I used.

Pastels gave him a smooth atmosphere!

And I'm glad that from times to times, I still feel the need to use them, one of the first mediums I felt in love, one where you can reach the perfect fusion of colors while doing the skins, it's quicker for me than others where I need brushes (this one took me about two days of work) and could give me a huge feeling of being doing really art because you have, with them, your hands, fingers literally dirties and impregnated with the colors.
Certainly some computers programs could show close results on the screen but I'm sure that never the same ones on your soul!

Today I don't have any fanfic recommendation with the drawing, although I could point you many of my favs who captured a moment like this in words because, just to emphasize my first comment in this entry, I want to introduce to you a new friend of mine here, Grace aka glancast.
Her poems are beauty in the simplicity of their words, rhymes, and in the clearness of the feelings we could read on them.
And I bet that not even she would think, by the time she did these poems, that someone would see Ron and Hermione on them! :D

What a great weekend Rupert is giving to us!

It´s funny, this is the second CB pictures that has something in common with one of my drawings!
Again this makes me believe even more in syncronicity!

The last drawing that shows Ron only in jeans, shirtless from above and the other one, where Ron is shirtless with blood and a locket, like the first picture we had from him!
It give me shivers but also I´m with a silly smile on my face since I saw this photo!

It´s about all the six movies, and with luck, after 30 stickers from the first 5 movies you can get one from HBP! :D
